Floyd Lucas
Floyd Lucas is the son of Edward James Campbell Lucas and Hazel Dovey. His father was born in Ohio, and his mother was born in New York. Floyd Lucas was born December 4, 1920 in Dayton, Ohio, and died April 9, 2003 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He first married Marie Doolan and together they had 1 daughter Sylvia Marie Lucas on May 26, 1942.
Then, he married Fern Elizabeth Oberwitte. He first resided in Dayton, Ohio, and then his family moved to Cincinnati., Ohio. While growing up in Cincinnati, he lived in an apartment at Dorchester and Main.
Floyd first drove a truck for a milk company. He enlisted in the army on February 6, 1943. In the army, he became an engineer and built bridges. After the army, his occupation was a truck driver. During the flood, he delivered water to the flood victims.
Floyd and Fern first resided in Norwood. They rented the top floor of a two family house from Lola and Joe Henke. Lola and Joe lived on the bottom floor. Floyd and Fern were married in their apartment's living room. Together they raised 4 children: Donald, Donna, Roger, and Darrell.
Donald Lucas
Donald Floyd Lucas was born in 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He married Charlotte Ann Capal.
He worked for International Paper, a printing company for many years. Now he is doing home remodeling and working part-time at a flea market.
