Rose Capal (nee Schneider)

Rosemary was born May 15, 1927 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and died Nov 13, 2003 in Hamilton, Ohio. She married Frank Capal June 21, 1947 in St. Margaret Mary church in North College Hill. She was baptized at Sacred Heart Church, in St. Bernard, Ohio.

She met Frank on the Island Queen docked downtown. Her and Frank would attend dances held aboard the Island Queen. She didn't like him at first. He would tell her she was just a young kid. She said he started to grow on her.

Her children Stan and Charlotte recall when they were young, their mother ironed clothes in her home for extra money. She also did filing in her home for the Polk Co. Stan and Charlotte also both remember the bus rides to go get the big boxes of cards that Rose would file. Stan said he would get sick on the bus rides.

Later, she retired from Beau Bremmel. While retired, she worked for Kelly Services doing product testing for P&G. She was a grandmother, mother, friend, and most of all, my hero.

Adam Schneider

Adam Schneider

Adam Schneider is the son of Johann Schneider and Anna Maria Lichtfuss. Both his parents were born in Billed, Hungary. He was born April 12, 1895 in Billed, Hungary and died January 10, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He arrived in the US with his brother John on June 1, 1905.

He served in the army from Nov 1916 to Nov 1919. On Sundays, Adam and Hanns would barrow Nicholas's car. Nicholas's car was a 1919 Ford Model T.

Adam Schneider married Marie Schmaltz in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Adam became a naturalized citizen on March 1, 1921. Adam worked for US Shoe Corp located at 1658 Herald Ave in Cincinnati, Ohio. When he retired, he worked in Deaconess Hospital part-time in the maintenance department.

Together Adam and Marie had two children: Edward and Rosemary. They raised their family in Cincinnati, Ohio.
