Hungarian Goulash

| 2 lbs. - beef cut in cubes |
| 2 tbls. - shortening |
| 1 - onion sliced |
| 1 - green pepper chopped |
| 1 tbls. - paprika |
| 1 1/2 tsps. - salt |
| 1 - can peeled tomatos |
| 2 to 3 cups - water |
| 1 large - potato cubed |
| 2 tbls. - flour |
| 1/2 tsp. - all spice |
| Directions: Brown beef in shortening. Add onion, pepper, paprika, salt, tomato, all spice, and water. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. until meat is tender. Add potato and cook 30 minutes longer. To thicken, mix 2 tbls. flour with water to make a paste and add to broth. Serve over cooked noodles. |
